Bibliography Examples and Instructions

  • Use punctuation, capitalization, and underlining in the following examples.
  • Indent 5 spaces after the first line of each entry.
  • Double-space between all entries.
  • Alphabetize entries by author; if no author is given, begin with title.
  • Web Sites should have author (if given), title underlined, date of publication or update (if available), URL (the electronic address), and date of access.
  • Images, clip art, graphics should be cited in the same order as web sites.
  • Databases are just like the print version adding the name of the database underlined, the name of the service, the library, the date of access, and URL if known.
