HSPE SCORES AND SUMMER RETAKES!!!!
HSPE score reports should be arriving in the mail to your home this week. For any section you did not pass, students can retake the HSPE exam in Reading, Writing and Math this summer. The Writing exam will be held on August 9 & 10, the Reading exam is on August 11 and the Math retake is on August 12. Registration can either be done online or through Mr. Jeffreys in the Main Office. The deadline for registration is this Friday June 18. Donot delay! Rock the HSPE today!
Summer School students:
The Summer School Office will be mailing your class and location confirmation letter out at the end of this week. If you do not receive it by Wednesday, June 9th, please see your counselor right away! Once you do receive your confirmation letter, you must return it, signed, to the Summer School Office to be officially registered to begin the course on July 6th.
National Conservation Crew

Diploma orders will be going in and we need to make sure that the spelling of your Name is correct: Once our order goes in, we cannot make any changes. If your name is incorrect due to your own negligence, you will have to purchase a new one thru the Seattle school district and pay $25.00. Please note: Diploma's are considered a legal document.

The Cascade Warbirds are offering scholarships for two exciting aviation programs: One is a ground school offered two evenings a week and Saturdays at the Boeing Airfield in Seattle and the other program is a summer aviation camp held at the Experimental Aircraft Association in Oshkosh, Wisconsin! Girls Rock!
Girl's Rock! Seattle Summer Camp is a day camp for girls ages 8-16. In just 1 week, 80 girls ages 8-16 will learn instruments from local female musicians, form bands, write original songs, and perform a sold out concert! Campers do not need to have any prior music experience and instruments will be provided.

North Cascades Wild
North Cascades Wild
is a FREE wilderness conservation program for 9-11th graders from Seattle, Lake Forest Park, and Skagit and Whatcom Counties. The program features a 12-day canoe camping, hiking and conservation service trip in North Cascades National Park and Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, as well as a fall reunion and the opportunity to attend a 3-day Youth Leadership Conference in November at the North Cascades Environmental Learning Center. Students earn 30 community service hours after completion of post-program requirements while receiving training in leadership development, conservation service, community building and natural and cultural history. Students also are eligible for job and internship opportunities on public lands after their participation in the program .We are targeting under served students who haven't had similar opportunities. The program is intended to be a gateway program for students, to turn them on to stewardship, leadership, community building and developing a sense of place through the study of natural and cultural history. Volunteer with City Year!
Spend a week with City Year working to put on a spring break camp for kids in Seattle. This Year’s theme is Space: The Final Frontier, and we will be doing lots of great activities as we travel throughout the galaxy. Make camp the most fun these kids will have all year. The camp will be at Wing Luke Elementary, going from March 29th to April 2nd. GPA Appeal Process
Seniors, your GPA appeal letter and two support letters are due to Ms. Olsen by Friday, May 14th. That is only three weeks away, so get started ASAP!
Senior Service Hours
Seniors, your Community Service Hours are due to Ms. Olsen by Friday, May 7th. They are required for graduation so be sure to complete them in time!
