The seating chart is to increase the learning for all students by giving them a chance to actively engage with all other students in the classroom.  Teachers have been using seating charts to sit kids randomly to one another. Students just have a natural dislike towards one another so that is what makes this a bad problem.  Teachers… Stop using the seating chart.  It is a better option to let them choose their own seat and then switch it up a bit.  That way all of the “beef” can be avoided.  Most students don’t like the seating chart.

It’s been a big year for the Franklin golf team.  Not only did the team have 11 players on the varsity team, but also had 22 players turn out for the team.  This is a huge step up from the last three years.  The team picked up several key players to add the team’s seven returning players.

On Tuesday November 3, the city of Seattle will mail in their ballots to elect new amendments to the King County Charter, new School District representatives, Port of Seattle commissioners, and Seattle City Council people. Though the majority of Franklin High School’s population is not of age to vote, it is important to stay active and aware of what is happening the Greater Seattle Area’s politics as many of the choices that will be made on Election Day will effect the students of Seattle.
