As the doors opened and the students of Franklin high school piled in with excitement and anticipation, Franklin’s 2009-2010 homecoming dance kicked off with its futuristic swag.

Calling all Quakers, the football team needs your help! According to trulia.com, Franklin High School is known as one of the best schools in the state of Washington. FHS has great athletics, academics, and school spirit. The one thing that is missing is sports spirit or in other words fans support. According to Ms. Fukuma, there are about around 150 or so fans at each football game not counting the band and cheer. The fan support has fallen short of what was expected by a lot of football players this year.

This generation is dominated by technology. The use of technology is anything from being on the internet, on the phone, watching television, listening to music devices, and more. But the main controversy is the cell phones and how it affects sleeping.

Teenagers today are all up to date with the rapidly changing fashion. Franklin High School has lived up to its reputation for the students in the sense of fashion. Quakers use Fashion as a way to express themselves, as well as a way to stand out from others. Fall fashion is what is currently roams the halls. There are different types of styles. Since fall has arrived, there has been laid back clothing, such as sweats or basketball shorts on days students don’t feel like dressing up.

Garfield, Rainier Beach, and Cleveland, three of the most popular high schools in Seattle Public Schools, have two things in common: They all have their Homecoming dances on October 16, 2009, and all three school administrations are allowing guest at their dances. But we, Franklin High School students didn’t get to share that privilege this year. The administrators here enforced this rule last year, and have intended for this rule to remain in place.
